So I have written my rough draft and hope to polish it up and send later today. Because I am honestly not expecting a reply, I chose another friend that I haven't gotten to see since I moved from the East Coast 4 years ago, and reached out to her asking if she wanted to do a phone chat. Aside from Christmas cards, we haven't been in touch.
This one is a struggle. The person I want to connect with is my long-lost college best friend. We last spoke in 1997 (not my choice.) Still thinking carefully about what to say and trying to come to terms with not "wanting anything" from reaching out, because probably it will be disappointing
