For our August book club selection the club chose The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love by Oscar Hijuelos. A novel about Cuban musicians who come to New York City in the 1940s. The novel won a Pulitzer Prize but I still didn't think I'd like it. I was right--I didn't.
