Bake a different cake each month for a year

New attempt.
Jan. - chocolate-vanilla muffins - pretty ok like always.
Feb. - cinnamon swirls - tasted horrible. Bad recipe.

Aug 21 - Chocolate fudge cake. I was really hoping this would turn out nice but it was insanely dense. It was so heavy but at least it tasted good. I'm going to have to find a different recipe that will make the cake a bit lighter.

June 21 - I baked this cake a few days ago. I had some sad looking bananas in my fruit bowl so I upgraded them to a chocolate and banana loaf!

I rarely bake because my cakes always turn out to be mediocre, but this one was delicious! It's a Bakewell tart style cake, so tastes like almonds and has a cherry filling. So good!
