Stopped recording here, but I did complete this. 101 books in 2025!
I ended April 1 book behind. My 8 April reads were:
- Lethal Prey - John Sandford
- Holy Terrors - Margarent Owen
- The Oligarch's Daughter - Joseph Finder
- The Lost Apothecary - Sarah Penner
- The Beauty of the End - Lauren Stienstra
- Original Sins: The (Mis)education of Black and Native Children and the Construction of American Racism - Eve L. Ewing
- Headshot - Rita Bullwinkel
- The Boomerang - Robert Bailey
I ended March two books behind. It was a busy month and I read just 6 books! My March reads:
- Stolen Pride: Loss, Shame, and the Rise of the Right by Arlie Russell Hochschild
- We Solve Murders by Richard Osman
- The Mighty Red by Louise Erdrich
- Liars by Sarah Manguso
- Wild Houses by Colin Barrett
- Enlightenment by Sarah Perry

Let's see if I can catch up this month.
Forgot to update last month! On track so far for 2025 with 8 books read in February:
1. The Fallow Year by Margaret Owen
2. The Lucky Ones by Zara Chowdhary
3. Held by Anne Michaels
4. All Better Now by Neal Shusterman
5. The Warbler by Sarah Beth Durst
6. The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
7. We're Alone by Edwidge Danticat
8. Goodnight Tokyo By Atsuhiro Yoshida
On track so far with 9 books read in January:
1 The Women by Kristin Hannah
2 The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami
3 Stories Are Weapons by Annalee Newitz
4 Sing Link Fish by Amorina Kingdon
5 Real Americans by Rachel Khong
6 Away from the Dead by David Bergen
7 Consent by Jill Ciment
8 Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhao
9 Guide Me Home by Attica Locke
Trying again for 2025! I read 92 books in both 2023 and 2024. I need to average 8-9 books a month to reach this goal. I'm not too invested in achieving this, just something interesting to work towards if I can.
It's looking like this probably won't happen this year. I'll try again next year if that's the case!
31.3. 13/100
23.2.2024 6/100
Last year, I suddenly read 92 books (I read 27 in 2022 - more than any of the previous several year, and my goal was 35).

This year, I've set the goal of reading 100. I'm tracking books on StoryGraph (I'm rei_reads) and I'm not going to duplicate them here but I'm currently at 7 books.
2020: 9/100
2020: 8/100
2020: 6/100
2020:

4/100
9 fricking books! Guess next year I'll need to be a faster reader.
80/100

In case someone's wondering, I haven't been reading some 500 page epics. This year I have dedicated to reading poems, playes, short stories, children classics, classics that one can read in one sitting. Lately've also been listening to HorrorBabble on Youtube. Mostly I have been trying to ease up my to-be-read list of books I have in my possession, be it translation, original, e-books, hardcover, audio.

Examples of books I have finished: some Dahl's works, pulp fiction, modern/classic works by female authors (My sister, the serial keller and The Yellow Wall-Paper), Pablo Neruda's book of poetry and W. Blake's Song of Innocence and Experience, Christina Rosetti's works, E. A. Poe's works. Also this year I have finished (finally) some books I've started years ago.

I think next year will a year of epic reads. THE YEAR OF EPIC READS. Like Tolkien and Pratchett and Dickens. Some stand alones but mostly series of books.

Three Fat Men by Y. Oleschka

The Crucible by A. Miller
Frankenstein. Damn, I don't think I've ever hated a fictional character so much as Victor. Even Umbridge doesn't top him in my Top Hated Character List.
