Puszta
Puszta is a steppe biom on Great Hungarian Plain (Alföld) around Tisza river in the eastern part of Hungarian as well as on the western part of Hungarian and Austrian Burgenland. Hungarian puszta is an enclave of the Eurasian Steppe. It means "plains", a vast wilderness of grass and bushes. The name comes from an adjective of the same form, meaning "bare, empty, bereft". The climate is continental.
