Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab
This app was recommended to me, and I'm impressed with the audio recording feature! You just hold your phone to record the birds while out and about, and it can identify them! I was talking a walk last night and used it. Not only does it start listing the birds it can hear, but it highlights the birds in the listing every time it hears one, so it's quite good to learn to identify them myself.
