Visit Daintree National Park
Daintree National Park in Queensland, Australia, spans about 1,200 square kilometers of lowland tropical rainforest, coastal dunes, and mangrove forests, making it the largest continuous rainforest expanse in the country and one of the oldest surviving tropical rainforests on Earth, dating back over 135 million years. It features diverse ecosystems supporting unique wildlife like cassowaries, tree kangaroos, and ancient ferns, alongside the Daintree River and Cape Tribulation's beaches where rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. Access is primarily via the Cook Highway or ferry, with walking tracks and canopy walks available for exploration.
