Buy (and keep alive) a houseplant

It's that time of year where we get super-motivated after taking months off from doing anything on the list, so hopefully we check off a number of items. First up, here's this little plant we've somehow managed to keep alive all year.

I am not sure it's doable. Some people have green thumb and I have a murder thumb. All greenery dies on me.
