Visited with my family at that perfect age to really get into some of my first exposure to well done historical setting.
Years later, I edited a guy's dissertation on how people set up towns, who noted in passing as part of a case study, how the Black (colonial slave) quarters/part of town were originally laid out the way many West African cultures lay out a town, with certain important functions positioned anthropomorphically. It's not a thing noticed or taught by the overculture. Will you find & see it?
