About this

Münster’s compact historic core contains the 13th-century City Hall where the 1648 Peace of Westphalia was signed, ending the Thirty Years’ War; visitors can enter the hall and view the treaty chamber. The city also maintains a network of 40,000 bicycles and an extensive pedestrian zone, allowing travel between the Gothic cathedral, the Prinzipalmarkt arcades, and the Aasee lake without a car.
