The Flåm Railway runs 20 kilometers from Myrdal station at 867 meters elevation down to the village of Flåm at sea level along the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord in Norway. This engineering feat features 20 tunnels, a 5-kilometer climb with a 5% gradient, and views of steep mountainsides, waterfalls, and the fjord. The one-hour journey connects to the Bergen Railway and operates year-round with electric trains.
