PROGRESS UPDATE
Take a picture with someone famous
A goal of Rachel Leung on their 101 Things in 1001 Days list with a status of Done.
December 6th, 2011.
Picture taken w/ Joe Dinicol ("David" from Passchendaele, and "Truman" from Life with Derek)! It was the day of the Reel Canada Film Festival at our school, and most people chose to skip figuring that they would much rather stay at home than to spend the day watching Canadian movies. For our morning choice, Peiyi, Jane, and I chose to watch Passcendaele - a movie about the First World War. I recognized "David" at once to be the same character who played Truman from Life with Derek! The movie however was less impressing; it was still interesting, but not as exciting as I'd hope it would be. When the movie ended, a guest star was to make an appearance and talk about the film with us. And you could already guess who that was. At the shock of seeing him step out from the shadows and take hold of the microphone at the front of the gym, I went into the typical "fangirl mode". I'd never met or seen anyone famous before in real life, so it was a pretty big deal for me (and was so cute)! The gym however was too dark to get a picture with him, and neither Jane's phone nor my own had a flash option, so we waited until he stepped into the hallways. After pictures were taken of both of us with Joe Dinicol (separately of course), we ended up skipping down the halls thinking dreamily about him. lol The rest of my day pretty much consisted of obsessing over the fact that he actually came to our school, even though there was yet still another movie to go through in the afternoon.
