017. Warm breakfast in winter
-- Hot food has been so comforting this winter. Right now my current favorite is Old fashion muesli with soy milk, tahini, and keto-friendly granola. (No, I'm not doing the keto diet.)
017. Nivea body cream (blue tub)
-- My skin has been extremely dry this winter due to subzero temperatures. I picked up a tin and applied it one night; my skin was literally in pain and stinging. It immediately calmed down whatever issue I was dealing with at the time. (I'm not talking about a sore or cracked skin; the skin literally hurts from 0 degree weather. Never experienced anything quite like it.)
016. Drugstores
-- Before the pandemic I used to love to peruse drugstores to see what kind of interesting things they have. Of course I enjoyed snooping through body care, skin care, and hair care; but I also loved to see what they had for pets. Once in a while they'd have something interesting for food too.
015. Watching a good scary movie
-- I enjoy watching scary movies, but I don't like watching gore. The Conjuring universe so far has been entertaining.
014. Coffee with my mother
-- I'm not particularly sentimental, and I am not a coffee snob; but I do enjoy having a hot cup of coffee--not cuppa!--in the morning with her. We have our Tim Horton's, and I drink mine with Coffee Mate original creamer. It's a nice way to start the day particularly in winter.
013. My new red hair color
-- I like dark auburn, but red is a difficult color to keep fresh and vibrant. I still love how the color turned out, and I'll just have to wash every other night and dye it every two weeks. It looks so good, it'll be worth the effort.
012. Listening to the rain at night
011. My fleece rob
-- I bought a fleece robe with Pusheen on it, and I absolutely adore it. It keeps me warm and cozy particularly in winter. I'm really just a kid at heart.
010. Homemade bread
-- I never realized how ridiculously cheap and easy it is to make good artisan bread at home. I don't eat white bread often due to diabetes, but I do enjoy indulging from time to time. It's especially hard resisting warm fresh bread in the winter.
009. Single life
-- I never in my entire life thought I would enjoy being single; I figured I was a loser if I was, and loneliness can be a factor in staying in bad relationships. I'd long since resigned myself to being single the rest of my life instead of being in a bad relationship, but now I absolutely LOVE it! I no longer feel like I'm babysitting someone, and I can do what I want when I want. I love having my own time; the silence is amazing and comforting. I'm not sure I want to be single the rest of my life, but for now I am loving every second of it.
007. Cold water in the morning
006. Laundry right out of the dryer
-- Nothing quite like putting on warm, clean clothes right after taking a warm shower in the middle of winter.
005. Equate skincare
-- In an age where we're surrounded by influencers encouraging people to spend hundreds of dollars on items we can't afford, it's easy to forget that (most of us anyway) only need basic items. There's no such thing as a magical beauty regimen that's going to reverse the signs of aging.
I literally have the greasiest skin on the face of the planet, but it's mildly sensitive and feels dehydrated in the winter. I've switched over to using the Cetaphil knockoffs, and my skin feels very comfortable. The trick is to use the lotion when your skin is still damp to lock in moisture and reduce the film on top of the skin.
I'm still loyal to adapalene, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and some Korean skincare for the nighttime--just to pamper myself--but this is a great day to start the day without stripping my skin. And plus it's great to use on the rest of your body!
004. Watching movies late at night
-- I'm nocturnal by nature, and I love watching movies when the world is quiet. Right now we're dealing with a snowstorm combined with freezing temperatures, so I love curling up with my cat under a warm blanket.
003. Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash
-- This is the absolute best body wash ever! I love the scent, and it's very thick like a lotion! I feel so clean and soft.

002. Love Spell body spray by Victoria's Secret
-- I'm the type of person who is indecisive when it comes to picking favorites, but I can honestly say this is my favorite fragrance. I love pairing it with a nice, fruity scented lotion.
