PROGRESS UPDATE
A goal of Tatiana on their Things Done by 35 / My first big list list with a status of Done.

Even though I've lived in Russia for my whole life, I started exploring it only when the pandemic started, in 2020. Before that I always chose Europe or US or other places. But when the international travel became unavailable, I had no choice other than to turn my face towards the wonders of my own country. And if there are few things I am grateful for because of this pandemic, a 'forced' opportunity to switch my travel focus to Russia for a bit is definitely one of them.
So one of my first major travels in Russia happened in August 2020 to Kamchatka, a peninsula in the Russian Far East. I honestly never imagined I would be in such an awe of our nature. It is absolutely an amazing place. I love to recall waking up next to the Pacific Ocean, surfing in the coldest and wildest waters, climbing the volcanos and mountains, meeting wild animals, kayaking, stargazing in a hot tub on the ocean beach, watching sunrises and sunsets, relaxing in hot mineral springs, eating red caviar until I can't look at it anymore, watching the ocean for hours.. I can go on and on. This is a place I would definitely want to come back to one day. It's so worth visiting.
