Donate hair to Locks of Love

11/1/12 - I've just submitted an online scheduling request at Vanis for next week. They're supposed to notify me soon to confirm the day and time.

9/4/12 - I got a great recommendation of a salon from a co-worker today. http://vanis.net. They give free haircuts if you are donating to Locks of Love, and their stylists are excellent. All I have to do is find the picture of the hairstyle I used to get, then make an appointment.

My hair is long enough, but I still need to find a style I can live with.

Perhaps I should have done a little bit of research prior to making this goal. This goal previously said "Donate hair to Locks of Love". Well...my hair has been highlighted and Locks of Love does not accept hair that has been highlighted. There are several places that accept donated hair, most of which do not accept processed hair. Children with Hair Loss (http://www.childrenwithhairloss.us/our-mission) is the only one that I have found that will accept processed hair. My hair will not grow fast enough for the highlights to grow out, therefore, I changed the charity, but not the overall gist of the goal. Maybe in the next 1,001 it will get donated to Locks of Love...
