12/5/21

07/06/2021 It's been about 10 days since my last smoke. I normally do ok for 2 weeks then fall off the wagon again. Will check in once a month and hopefully this will be the time it sticks.

06/10/20 - 4 months without and still doing good!
I had a relapse but went back to not smoking.
It's now been 13 days - I will consider this done when it's been a year with no cigarettes.

August 2018 - I had a life-threatening tooth abscess and spent Monday-Friday sedated in the ICU with airway obstruction. I woke up no longer addicted to cigarettes. There are positives to almost dying - I DEFINITELY plan to keep up with the non-smoking!

Attempt #1 - 1 entire day no smoking - 15/Jan/16

Im saying today is the day it is done! 6 months with no smoking!!
There was a momentary lapse when I was rather drunk, but I couldn't stand the taste/smell/feeling after a single pull on it, success!

attempt 31245 : started yesterday 18-08-2014

Started August 7th.

2/1/13 was the first day of no smoking! - That didn't last. This time, I quit on 1/12/14. I haven't smoked since.

7/4/13

Quit date Jan. 20th, 2013.

03.06.12 - Over 5 months now. Once I have made it 6 months I will mark this as done.

As of end of March, no cigarettes!!

Quit date set for April 25th with Jason and Becky :)

11/7/2010 - started smoking 1 ciggie per 45 mins.

This is in progress, I am not suppose to smoke as I just had surgery so I have been 4 days without a smoke so far.

Last Cigarette: 11/27/11 @ 8:00p

tossed out pack w/ 1 cig left at 12:30pm 11/28/10

22/07/2010

08.03.12 - Still going strong! It is making task #6 much easier. The difference in my ability to persevere at the gym is unreal. I can run etc. without feeling like I can't breathe.

26.02.12 - 4 weeks tomorrow. Went out last night for drinks, stood in smoking area with C and wasn't tempted to smoke :)

12.02.2012 - Ok nearly 2 weeks now. Hasn't been too bad overall, a few wobbly moments but still off them. Whenever I am stressed/sick/upset though my first thought is to have a cigarette...

02.02.2012 - Day 4. Still off them. Today and yesterday were tough. Sleeping much better at night now.
Interesting: The physical addiction to nicotine is overcome after just four days. After that you're looking at unwinding the psychological habit for up to 4 weeks - as it generally takes 4 weeks to change any habit.

30.01.12 - Day 1. Using NiQuitin lozenges. So far, so good...

Day 5 cold turkey today

Started tracking cigarettes on Becomeanex.org. I'll do that for a week and see what my average is. Then, I'll start cutting out superfluous cigarettes and weaning down from there.
