I made it easy on myself by making a cold meal that I precut (boiled potatoes, hering fillets, cucumber slices and sourcream), and compensated by also having dessert.
I did taste and enjoy the food a lot when I didn't see it, and I believe I also felt full a little sooner.
On the down side; when I eat something really good I tend to make sure I enjoy the last few mouthfuls, and with this meal I missed that because I didn't know they were the last before my plate was empty.
