Somehow it takes actually visiting a new country to remember how much I enjoy it. I'm suddenly eager to learn Portuguese, and excited to read about the history and culture of Brazil. I've already purchased one new non-fiction book on the topic while on this trip, and I've made a good start on reading it. It's always nice when the goals on this list turn out to be things that I'm really happy to have done.



It seems pretty unlikely that I'll visit two more new countries before April, but maybe I can squeeze in a multi-country cruise in January or over spring break....

I've just committed to presenting in a conference in Brazil in summer 2017, so that will be one.



(Note that the "Belgium" comment from two years ago was for my previous 101 in 1001 list. In the future I'll be careful to change my wording slightly so the goals don't get unintentionally merged.)

Denmark (well, Copenhagen) and Sweden (well, Malmö) visited, that's 3 of 3 done!



I didn't complete this challenge on my last list so I'm going to try and add another two countries before this challenge is complete :)

After losing my job, this got put on hold for a while, but new job means a holiday could go ahead!
