Kasanka National Park
Kasanka National Park in Central Province, Zambia is unique in the country and unusual in Africa in that it is privately managed and owned by a trust. The Kasanka Trust was registered in Zambia in 1987 and in the UK in 1989. It aims to make the park self-sustaining and secure its biodiversity. Kasanka National Park is in the Central Zambezian Miombo woodlands ecoregion which covers most of the country.
